Poor girl. Ted thought, he looked up and around. "Would you rather me take you home, or to the hospital?" Ted asked. He hoped suddenly he hadn't bruised her by grabbing her so hard underwater. He had moved a bit faster than he should have been, but then again it was an emergency..... "Where does it hurt the worst?" He asked again.

Tabby shook her head. "No hos-hospital.... I'll b-been f-fine..." Tabby tried to prove her point by standing up. Pain shot up her entire body. Just as quickly, she collapsed oncemore. The sand did nothing to cushion her. Instead of answering his question, Tabby moaned in pain.

Ted caught her quickly, and lowered her to the ground. "You hardly look fine." Ted murmured. He slid his fingers lightly along her ribs, "Does...this hurt?" He asked putting just a little bit of pressure on one of her ribs.

"Then, your rib might be broken." Ted told her sadly. It made him feel horrible. Here he was trying to save her, but he just ended up breaking a rib, "I'll take you to the hospital." He moved so he was on his knees and started to cradle her head, while sliding the other hand under her thighs to pick her up.

Tabby couldn't say "no" anymore. Instead, her main goals were to keep her breaths normal. Tears had swelled up in her eyes. One fell from her eye, rolling slowly down her cheek. "I'm a-afraid of h-hosp-pitals.... Pl-please, don't m-make me do t-this..."

"You are seriously injured. The hospital will help you." Ted told her softly, he never liked to see anybody cry, and it made him feel even worse, knowing it was his fault. He stood slowly, cradling her in his arms, moving towards where his car was parked.

Tabby continued her soft whimpers. The whole scene of the hospitals was dreary. Excluding the maternity ward and the emergency room, most everyone who is treated at the hospital dies. Isn't that depressing? Tabby didn't want to go...

"I'll be with you the whole time." Ted promised her. "I'll keep you safe." He reassured her. Even though he didn't really know her besides her name and that she lives alone and doesn't like hospitals, he was going to keep her safe. It was his job after all.
He came through the woods where he had parked his car, a small silver Monte Carlo. He walked over to the passenger side and opened the door with one hand and carefully lowered her into the seat, once that was done, he lowered the back of it so she was in more of a laying down position that sitting up. He shut the door and ran quickly around the car and climbed in, "How you feeling?" He asked softly as he started up the almost silent engine.
