Rubie stalked through the streets of Seattle, her eyes wary and watching every face that passed.
She stood a little straighter and flicked her blonde hair across her shoulder. She could see people eying her as she walked into a nearby bar. It was crowded, but a path was made for her as she walked through, and to a lounge in a dark corner at the back. As she sat down, she noticed some men looking like they would come over, but seeing the look on her perfect, pale face, they quickly reconsidered.
